Summary of Action

In a context of ongoing social crisis, growing inequalities, and increasing tensions around migration issues, it is crucial to raise awareness among future citizens, professionals, and decision-makers about the human realities of poverty, homelessness, and migration. Too often reduced to administrative categories, the life journeys of people experiencing homelessness or exile reflect deep and structural mechanisms of exclusion.

La Cloche and SINGA, two organizations committed to social inclusion, are combining their expertise to offer a joint program aimed at higher education students. Their ambition: to change perceptions, amplify the voices of those directly concerned, and inspire civic engagement through concrete and human-centered experiences.

This program, designed to be iterative, immersive, and participatory, aims to dismantle stereotypes, provide in-depth knowledge about the systemic causes of poverty and migration, and encourage both individual and collective forms of action.

The planned activities are structured as a progressive engagement pathway, including:

  • Plenary and small-group awareness sessions;
  • Immersive modules with “going-towards” training and field encounters;
  • Support for individual or group involvement.

Ultimately, this journey seeks to bring about a lasting shift in perceptions, empower young people to act, and build bridges between student communities and the realities of social exclusion. It demonstrates that each person, at their own level, can be a driver of change for a more inclusive society.
