MURMURES (WHISPERS)
General information
Project name: MURMURES
Country: France
Timeline: From 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2026
Organisations: Association Miroir, Association And Taxiwu Talibé
Summary of Action
“MURMURES – Difference(s) & Equality” involves young people in France along with peers in Senegal, experiencing social or educational exclusion, to train them to become “Lead’Arts”: engaged community leaders capable of raising awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially gender equality and the fight against discrimination, through street art and international mobility.
Through artistic and civic workshops based on the LEAD’ART concept, piloted by the ATT and Miroir associations in 2023, we will use collaborative art (graffiti, collage, creative journaling, etc.) and international mobility to foster expression, intercultural cooperation, and youth engagement in Ardèche above all.
The young participants will be trained and then lead their own workshops in local organizations. They will introduce local educators to the SDGs and raise awareness about these among other young people and a wider audience during local events in a spirit of South-North dialogue.
They will initiate a movement towards others and a “whisper” to be spread beyond themselves thanks to digital tools. They will be able to testify and formalize the concept and the Lead’art method with the aim of replicating it through a European cooperation the following year.
They will also feed a 3D art gallery and a short video to amplify their impact and disseminate the method while becoming, in their area, actors of civic education for international solidarity (ECSI). They will be accompanied by the MIROIR association and ATT, supported by their local associative networks (e.g., Mission locale an Ardèche).
