Brain Trippers
General information
Project name: Brain Trippers
Country: Belgium
Timeline: From 1 August 2026 to 28 February 2027
Lead Organisation: Kapow
Summary of Action
The youth of rural West Coast Belgium are, often without realizing it, deeply affected by the changes in climate and biodiversity in their region. Being the leaders of tomorrow, the Brain Trippers project seeks to confront this lack of awareness.
Through a series of actions, we aim to strengthen both their knowledge and their ability to engage authentically across differences. We use diverse techniques, media, and spaces to guide young people from unawareness and disengagement towards active commitment.
This journey includes Talkaoke interventions in public spaces, workshops and sessions in schools, and ultimately the formation of a group of Brain Trippers. These pioneers will be mentored by KAPOW professionals as they organise the very first Brain Trip Festival in the region, dedicated to sustainability.
Through this broad, multi-faceted approach and supported by many local partners and the extensive KAPOW network which is made up entirely of proven youth inspirers, the project seeks to reach a large majority of young people in the West Coast. In doing so, we aim to spark a wave of commitment to climate and biodiversity, positively shaping both their lives and their futures.
