Summary of Action
Our proposed videopodcast series aims to raise awareness of pressing global issues, such as climate change, migration, inequality, and disinformation, by engaging young people (15-30 years old) in critical discussions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We will showcase interviews with activists, experts, and people affected by these challenges, enabling a deeper understanding of how global issues impact communities differently, including marginalised groups. The project seeks to promote meaningful engagement among EU citizens, particularly youth, by encouraging them to not only understand global challenges but also to critically reflect and take action.
Through storytelling and interviews, the series will highlight inclusive solutions that consider the diverse ways in which gender, race, and socio-economic status influence the experiences of individuals and communities.
The expected outcomes include:
- Empowerment of young EU citizens to critically engage with global challenges and take collective responsibility.
- Increased awareness and understanding of how gender, climate, and social inequalities intersect, with a focus on actionable solutions.
- Encouragement for youth to become activists, multipliers, and innovators in their communities, advocating for inclusive and sustainable change.
The podcast will be promoted through social media and will involve direct interaction with the target audience, enabling a continuous dialogue on the global issues discussed. We will work with youth organisations and other stakeholders to ensure diverse participation and impact.
