Summary of Action
This project proposes a participatory process of artivism and new narratives with young people from leisure and community spaces. The goal is to create community advocacy actions centered on the right to housing as a central theme. The project unfolds in four territorial phases, with the support of the Desc Observatory to deepen legal and social rights aspects, bringing thematic rigor. Simultaneously, it collaborates with MiRu, a young team of visual narrative creators, to complement the Entre Sostres pilot project.
Participants from Atzavara-arrels in Tortosa will produce a series of discussion videopodcasts based on the content of Entre Sostres. These will be disseminated through local communication channels in Terres de l’Ebre and during a public advocacy event. The content will also be shared through training sessions organized by Escola Lliure El Sol, further expanding the project’s educational impact.
The initiative arises from the demands of young people who, whether immigrants who arrived as minors or those born in Catalonia, face difficulties accessing housing when seeking independence, often experiencing homelessness. Additionally, the gender perspective helps highlight the gender-based violence that particularly affects young women in vulnerable situations. The project is supported by well-established organizations with a proven track record, which have previously collaborated with MiRu, ensuring the impact and coherence of the proposed actions.
