Summary of Action
The project “Les productores que alimenten el món” (Women Producers Who Feed the World) promotes the collective construction of new narratives around food through creative and participatory processes. The aim is to contribute to the transformation of the current industrial food system into a sustainable model that benefits the planet and promotes food sovereignty for people and territories.
The central axis of this project is the exchange of experiences of women who, from their communities, face the impacts of a global system that reinforces several inequalities. There are two key objectives that are interrelated:
- Creation of an active community in the production of podcasts: This community will embrace Global Justice with a special focus on Food Justice.
- Production of a series of podcasts: These podcasts will contribute to research, awareness-raising, and advocacy for the recognition and support of women producers who feed the world. Educational material will also be created to expand the project’s reach and ensure the continuity of the implemented processes.
The international dimension of the initiative is transversal to its development, with the active participation of witnesses from both the North and the South, particularly producers and activists from Catalunya, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Honduras.
