Summary of Action
“Beneath Bias” is a podcast project that explores global challenges through the lens of young people’s everyday lives. Using current news and topical issues as a starting point, the podcast goes beyond dominant Western narratives to uncover diverse perspectives and hidden biases in global debates.
The series consists of 17 episodes that combine personal stories, conversations with researchers, and contributions from hosts with diverse backgrounds. This mix creates an engaging and accessible format that encourages listeners to connect complex global issues to their own experiences.
A central aim of the project is to reach young people who feel disconnected from traditional discussions about global challenges. By creating content “by young people, for young people,” the podcast fosters a sense of ownership, agency, and relevance.
Through dialogue, storytelling, and audience interaction, the podcast creates space for informed debate and reflection. It highlights the interconnected nature of global challenges such as inequality, climate change, and social justice, while amplifying youth voices and perspectives.
Ultimately, the project seeks to inspire listeners to think critically about the world around them and to take action—both individually and collectively—towards more just and sustainable futures.
