Summary of Action
“Concern for Community” strengthens awareness and engagement around global challenges by connecting local communities in Denmark with international perspectives, particularly from East Africa. The project focuses on making complex global issues more accessible and relevant to everyday life.
Through a combination of conferences, networking events, and workshops in major cities, participants gain practical knowledge and tools to better understand global challenges and explore ways to take action. Researchers, activists, and advocates contribute diverse perspectives, creating a rich learning environment that encourages dialogue and collaboration.
The project places strong emphasis on inclusion, reaching groups that are often less involved in global development discussions, such as youth, women, and minority communities. By offering follow-up support and creating opportunities for continued engagement, participants are encouraged to move from awareness to meaningful action.
Storytelling through social media plays a key role in sharing insights and experiences, extending the reach of the project and inspiring a broader audience. These stories highlight practical examples of community action and cooperation, making global challenges more tangible.
Grounded in internationally recognized frameworks and democratic values, the project promotes sustainable approaches to social and economic development. By strengthening connections between local initiatives and global perspectives, it contributes to more resilient communities and stronger partnerships for change.
