Timeline: From 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
Lead Organisation: Civil Connections Community Foundation (CCCF)

Summary of Action

“Decolonize the Future” is a community-based learning project that engages young people in Denmark in exploring racism, colonial legacies, and global inequality. The project connects personal experiences with broader global dynamics, encouraging participants to reflect on how these issues shape both local and international realities.

Through workshops, discussion cafés, and interactive sessions, young participants examine themes such as identity, power, and structural inequality. The programme brings in perspectives from Morocco and Uganda through partner visits and shared storytelling, creating space for intercultural dialogue and exchange.

Participants are not only learners but also co-creators. They develop tools, activities, and narratives that help make complex issues such as racism more visible and understandable. These outputs are grounded in an intersectional approach, highlighting how different forms of inequality are interconnected.

The project also focuses on sharing these insights with a wider audience. Through digital content, public events, and a final exhibition, the work of participants reaches beyond the immediate group, encouraging broader reflection and discussion within the community.

By combining education, dialogue, and creative expression, the project supports young people in becoming active contributors to a more just and inclusive society, both locally and globally.
