Global Voices – From Funen to the South

Summary of Action

The project Global Voices – From Funen to the South aims to engage less aware young people in Denmark in global development issues such as inequality, gender norms, and climate change.

The target group is young people in:

• Youth clubs and cultural environments;
• Local communities with low participation in association life;
• Young people with second- and third-generation immigrant backgrounds.

What they have in common is that they often do not seek out traditional association activities, have limited experience with global agendas, and do not see their own lives connected to the world’s challenges—which makes them the less aware people that the project seeks to reach.

Through festivals, workshops, digital productions, and youth-led activities, they move up the engagement pyramid from curiosity to action. The project is implemented by AYIDA as the main applicant.
