Summary of Action
Salaam Film Festival is a nationwide educational offering that works with global challenges and intercultural understanding, adapted to the schools’ learning goals and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, which we communicate through films, presentations, and workshops.
All film screenings are supplemented with presentations and debates with presenters from different cultural, ethnic, social, religious, gender, and functional backgrounds—often with personal experiences with the film’s themes.
Film art and conversation can create understanding of global issues and the desire to contribute to positive change. This is shown by 21 years of experience, which is supported by the teacher evaluations we collect after the events.
If school students are to gain greater awareness of and desire to work with global challenges, it requires constant development work. Therefore, the participating teachers evaluate all our events, and on this basis, we continuously work to renew our methods, content, and teaching materials.
