Summary of Action
Based on a fictional novel that focuses on Danish-Greenlandic relations—specifically on structural racism and equal treatment—this project will develop teaching materials for secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and civil society organizations.
The Inuit/Greenlandic-Danish characters in the script are primarily younger, strong, and well-educated people who encounter society as it was in 2011–2013. Since the novel takes place in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland), Denmark, and Nepal, where the main character is part of the international development system, it will be possible to understand structural inequality and racism not only in relation to the Danish-Greenlandic relationship but also in relation to the international aid system.
This system continues to carry the power imbalances of the colonial era and has, especially in the last 10 years, worked to address these inequalities.
