Summary of Action
The project aims to place young people in the lead of public debate on global development in Denmark, which is currently dominated by experienced, mostly male, white opinion makers. Globalnyt will dedicate a debate editor to closely engage with young people with diverse backgrounds and interests in global challenges, provide editorial guidance and training in journalistic communication, and ensure that young voices are increasingly represented in debate. By publishing youth perspectives on Globalnyt’s social media channels—especially Instagram—the project will also inspire thousands of young people less aware of global issues. Physical reader events will connect both groups and allow participants to hear youth from the Global South share their own experiences in striving for equality, sustainability, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
