General information
Project name: Unge stemmer for håb og solidaritet
Country: Denmark
Timeline: From 1 March 2025 to 30 November 2025
Lead Organisation: Operation Dagsværk
Partner Organisation: Danish House in Palestine
Summary of Action
Young voices are often constrained when challenging oppressive structures. In Palestine, this has consequences for young people’s lives, rights, agency, and how the world perceives them. In Denmark, more young people are starting to question whether Danish youth voices are also limited, despite living in a society where democracy and freedom of expression are highly valued. This project brings together Danish and Palestinian youth to develop a youth-led campaign that: 1) informs and engages students in Danish secondary and youth education about the conditions for youth in Palestine, sparking conversations about youth voices, solidarity, and rights more broadly; 2) inspired by their Palestinian peers, mobilizes Danish youth to lead events and activities that generate hope, agency, and direct support and solidarity for Palestinian youth.
