Summary of Action
“Dialogue for Climate Justice” brings together politically active young people from across party lines to strengthen their role in advancing fair and inclusive climate policies. The project responds to the reality that climate change and climate policies affect people differently, both within Finland and globally.
Through a multi-party training programme, participants deepen their understanding of climate justice and the unequal impacts of climate change on different groups, including communities in the Global South. The programme combines expert input, interactive discussions, and facilitated dialogue, creating a space where diverse perspectives can be shared and explored.
A key focus of the project is building the skills needed for constructive political dialogue. Participants learn how to engage across differences, seek common ground, and work towards shared solutions on complex issues such as climate policy.
The programme also includes study visits within Finland to highlight concrete examples of climate impacts and responses, as well as an online exchange with young people from Kenya. This international dimension strengthens understanding of global interdependencies and promotes solidarity.
As a tangible outcome, participants will jointly develop recommendations that they can bring into their own political work. By supporting collaboration among future decision-makers, the project contributes to more effective and inclusive climate policymaking in the long term.
