Summary of Action

“Existing and Resisting – Together Against the Anti-Gender Movement” addresses the growing influence of the global anti-gender movement and its impact on equality, inclusion, and human rights. The project focuses on empowering LGBTIQ+ young adults to better understand and respond to these challenges.

Through a structured training programme, 20–30 participants aged 18–29 will take part in a series of activities between February and November. These include two in-person workshop days, seven online workshops, and six peer-to-peer discussion sessions. Together, these formats create a supportive learning environment where participants can share experiences, build knowledge, and strengthen their confidence.

The training explores the history, narratives, and strategies of the anti-gender movement, both in Finland and globally. Participants gain insight into how these movements operate and how they affect individuals and communities, particularly those within the LGBTIQ+ community.

In addition to the core training programme, the project includes communication activities and an open webinar to reach a broader audience. This helps to raise awareness and foster wider public dialogue on the topic.

As a result, participants are equipped with the tools and confidence to actively counter harmful narratives, support their peers, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
