Summary of Action

“What’s the Price? – Global Economy and Human Rights” explores how global economic systems shape inequality, human rights, and environmental sustainability. The project highlights how wealth and power are often concentrated in the Global North, while communities in the Global South face the consequences, including forced labour, unsustainable resource extraction, and gender inequality.

The project focuses on young people aged 15–30, as well as educators and youth leaders who act as multipliers. It aims to deepen participants’ critical understanding of global economic structures and introduce alternative, more just and sustainable models.

Through educational packages, Training of Trainers workshops, and online learning materials, participants gain the knowledge and tools to engage with complex global issues. Voices and perspectives from the Global South are integrated through grassroots partnerships, ensuring a more balanced and inclusive narrative.

Interactive events and communication campaigns—particularly video content shared on social media—help make these topics accessible and relevant. Participants are also encouraged to organise their own activities, applying what they have learned and sharing knowledge within their communities.

By strengthening both understanding and agency, the project empowers young people to question existing systems and advocate for fairer, more sustainable economic alternatives. Its long-term impact lies in the ripple effects created through educators, youth leaders, and self-organised initiatives that continue beyond the project’s duration.
