Summary of Action
“Fleeing Lands: Young Voices on the Move” addresses global challenges related to climate-induced migration and global citizenship by engaging university students and young people with migratory backgrounds. Supported by activists from migrant communities in Turin, participants are empowered to better understand and respond to the links between climate change and human mobility.
Through a comprehensive training programme and interdisciplinary workshops, participants develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of global interdependencies. A central component of the project is the co-creation of a multilingual multimedia toolkit exploring the relationship between climate change and migration.
Participants actively engage with local migrant communities and organise awareness-raising events, becoming knowledge multipliers within their own environments. Their work contributes to raising awareness and fostering dialogue on climate justice and migration.
The project also includes international collaboration with the Communauté Abel in Côte d’Ivoire, enabling the collection of perspectives and testimonies from young students and migrants. This exchange strengthens a transnational network focused on learning, dialogue, and shared awareness of global challenges.
Through this approach, the project supports the development of informed, engaged citizens capable of understanding complex global issues and contributing to more inclusive and sustainable societies.
