Summary of Action

The project “Global Minds for Global Spaces” focuses on strengthening education and information activities related to climate change, particularly in the Trentino region, which is increasingly affected by environmental challenges.

It engages young people and local communities, especially civil society organisations active in cooperation and Global Citizenship Education, to deepen their understanding of climate issues and promote informed action.

A central component of the project is the training of four young participants by national and international experts. These young people will take part in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), held in Antalya, Turkey, in November 2026. Through this experience, they will gain first-hand insight into global climate negotiations and international cooperation processes.

The project also includes a series of awareness-raising activities led by young people for their peers. These activities target students of the University of Trento as well as the wider public, fostering dialogue and encouraging greater engagement with climate issues.

By combining education, international exposure, and peer-to-peer communication, the project supports the development of informed and active citizens who are capable of contributing to climate action at both local and global levels.
