Summary of Action
The PROCEDI project, “IntegrACTION Beyond Prejudices,” addresses the persistence of stereotypes, discrimination, and limited engagement with global challenges. It focuses on strengthening Global Citizenship Education (GCE) among civil society organisations and young people in Liguria, Italy.
In a context of increasing cultural diversity, many organisations and educational actors still lack structured tools and methodologies to promote inclusive narratives and a critical understanding of global inequalities, migration, and social justice. This project responds to that gap by building capacity and encouraging active participation.
The initiative aims to enhance the competencies of local organisations in Global Citizenship Education, with a particular focus on deconstructing stereotypes and discriminatory narratives. At the same time, it engages young people in developing a deeper awareness of global issues and their role in shaping inclusive societies.
Through training, collaborative activities, and awareness-raising actions, participants strengthen their critical thinking, communication skills, and civic engagement. The project promotes dialogue, inclusion, and mutual understanding, contributing to more cohesive and equitable communities.
By combining education and action, the project supports long-term change, empowering both organisations and young people to challenge prejudices and actively contribute to social justice.
