Summary of Action

The project addresses the urgent need to engage young people in tackling interconnected global challenges such as climate change, inequality, migration, and the digital divide. In a polarized context, many young people lack critical awareness, tools for action, and opportunities to participate in intercultural networks and active citizenship.

The initiative aims to nurture a generation of globally aware and proactive citizens who can contribute to resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It focuses on strengthening critical understanding, transversal skills such as collaboration and leadership, and active participation in co-created local projects.

Expected results include youth-led project prototypes inspired by the SDGs, digital outputs such as videos, podcasts, and reports, and improved digital and project design skills. The project also strengthens intercultural collaboration and promotes tangible community impact through cultural, social, and environmental initiatives, including the active inclusion of young migrants.

Activities are organised into seven innovative actions:

  • Green Change: Sustainable citizenship micro-actions
  • SDG Labs: Interactive learning workshops
  • Youth Changers: Youth leadership programmes
  • Educational escape room: Engaging learning experience
  • Global Cafés: Exchanges with mentors and experts
  • Missione Mondo: International volunteering in Bosnia
  • Connect4Change: Youth-led communication campaign

Through experiential and participatory approaches, the project transforms young people from passive recipients into active changemakers. It strengthens the connection between local action and global challenges and promotes a “glocal” citizenship based on awareness, responsibility, and innovation.
