General information
Project name: Pa zaļā dialoga pēdām
Country: Latvia
Timeline: From 4 January 2025 to 31 December 2025
Lead Organisation: Biedrība Kultūras un izglītības studija „Talantu pilsēta”
Summary of Action
The project “Following the Green Dialogue Footprints” introduces participants to the Dialogue Circle method and provides information about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various engaging activities, such as a theatrical performance, orienteering and geocaching, creative green circles, a general knowledge quiz, and informal discussions.
The activities are planned over a period of nine months, designed as nine “green footprints” or activity steps. Project participants include members and volunteers of the association Talantu pilsēta as well as other target groups, such as members of the Valmiera Senior School, visitors of the day centres Solis and Atspulgs, and enthusiasts of orienteering and geocaching. The project also foresees a visit by the association’s experts to Georgia, where they will present the theatrical performance and the Dialogue Circle method.
The expected results include improved knowledge among participants about the 17 SDGs, especially in discussions on reducing consumption and creative reuse. Each activity is planned to involve around 20 participants, and it is expected that their knowledge will improve by at least 10 percent. This will be assessed through an informal test. The final product of the project will be worksheets in PDF format, designed for teachers and other interested parties, which will include methods related to the 17 SDGs as well as additional materials on environmental topics and practical solutions.
