General information

Project name: Įtraukties ir tvarumo vizija

Timeline: From 1 March 2026 to 31 December 2026
Lead Organisation: Alytaus krašto asmenų su negalia draugija

Summary of Action

In the Alytus region, several significant challenges affect both the vitality of communities and their social cohesion. Social exclusion, low employment levels, the impacts of climate change, and limited understanding of sustainability create a situation in which vulnerable groups—particularly people with disabilities and young people—are often left out of environmental and community initiatives. Addressing these issues requires promoting critical thinking on sustainability, fostering responsible consumption practices, and strengthening ecological and social inclusion.

The project will provide participants with practical skills related to sustainable living, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. Activities will encourage mutual understanding, solidarity, and active participation in community life. Participants will not only gain knowledge but also develop a sense of responsibility and recognize their contribution to positive changes, both at the personal and broader social level.

Practical activities, such as creative workshops titled “A Second Life for Objects,” exchange sessions, nature restoration initiatives, and educational programs, will be adapted to accommodate people of different abilities. Active participation of people with disabilities, youth volunteers, and their family members will ensure equal opportunities for involvement and reinforce social and ecological responsibility.

Throughout the project, fostering a conscious and responsible approach to the environment will become both a personal and community value, encouraging long-term positive change and promoting sustainable behaviors.
