Project name: YOUTH4YOUTH
Country: Lithuania
Timeline: From 2 February 2026 to 30 November 2026
Lead Organisation: Jaunimo sodyba, labdaros ir paramos fondas

Summary of Action

The project aims to empower and involve EU citizens—especially young people and those less sensitive to global challenges, rural and regional socially vulnerable youth—and Lithuanian civil society organizations operating in the field of global and development education, to encourage them to take joint responsibility for creating a more inclusive, equal, and sustainable world.

One of the most important elements of the project is the involvement of international partners from Rwanda. “Youth Farm” cooperates with Rwandan non-governmental organizations, promoting the opportunity to learn, strengthen ties in the pursuit of global change, establish international relations, and acquire practical skills for the development of activities in both countries.

In Lithuania, young people and organizations will join meetings, workshops, discussions, and voluntary activities.

Firstly, the global understanding and educational capacities of children and young people from families in remote regions will be strengthened; they will become more active and involved in community life in solving global challenges.

Secondly, Lithuanian civil society organizations will gain more experience in working with international partners, share good practices, and create more sustainable and inclusive projects.

Thirdly, the awareness of young people and EU citizens about global challenges and responsibility for a more equal and sustainable world will increase, and volunteering will enable empowering knowledge, visual works, and social message campaigns to reach a wider audience.

Finally, strengthened international partnerships with Rwandan organizations will help to create consistent cooperation opportunities and ongoing initiatives in the long term, promoting youth inclusion and international dialogue.
