Summary of Action
The overall objective of the project ‘Global challenges – local solutions!’, which is directly in line with the objectives of the Connect for Global Change Programme, is to develop attitudes of shared responsibility for creating a world that’s sustainable, open, fair and equal for all.
The project is aimed directly at pupils and teachers and indirectly at parents and siblings from the primary school in Ruda Różaniecka and the local community of Narol. We’re introducing difficult content related to global education to a specific region, and achieving satisfactory results will require us to be very sensitive to the social environment of the target group and its ability to perceive issues related to GE.
In the period from 1March-30 November2026, we plan to achieve the following specific (SMART) objectives:135 people will directly gain knowledge, sensitivity and critical thinking skills in the context of global challenges and interdependencies. We will achieve this goal by using a variety of attractive educational tools and teaching skills, as well as our extensive experience in teaching GE, explaining the causes and consequences of global challenges and problems. We’ll also show the nuances of the processes taking place in the modern world in the context of the SustainableDevelopmentGoals.
How we will work:1. Preparation/adaptation of teaching materials and making them available to the teaching community. 2. Creation of a local board game 3. educational activities – workshops for young people and the school community. 4. Educational events to activate the local community – prepared and conducted by the Youth Initiative Group.
