Summary of Action
The project “Globalnie? Naturalnie!” aims to enhance critical understanding and direct engagement of a group of 10-30 students regarding global challenges. The project will be implemented in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland. As part of the project, 4 meetings will be held in four secondary schools, allowing us to reach approximately 500 students, including those unfamiliar with global challenges. These meetings will be educational and serve as recruitment for the project group.
The next step will be to establish a youth project group, which is the main focus of the project. This group will consist of 10-30 active participants who will take part in an integration meeting and organizational workshops. The group will also be offered meetings with experts and study visits. However, the final decisions regarding specific meetings and actions within the group will rest with its participants. The role of the project coordinator will be to support the group in key situations, thereby increasing the sense of agency among its members.
The expected social change is an increase in awareness and activity among young people in the areas of sustainable development and social responsibility. Participants will have the opportunity to formulate their own opinions on global issues, contributing to their greater civic engagement. The project aligns with the goals of the Connect for Global Change grant program, which seeks to engage EU citizens, especially youth, in global education initiatives and promote a sense of responsibility for the common good. The implementation of this project will contribute to building an informed civil society.
