Country: Poland
Timeline: From 1 February 2025 to 31 October 2025
Lead Organisation: Fundacja Ludzie z Natury
Summary of Action
The project “Globalnie? Naturalnie!” aims to enhance the critical understanding and direct engagement of a group of 10–30 students in relation to global challenges. The project will be implemented in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland. As part of the initiative, four meetings will be conducted in secondary schools, reaching approximately 500 students, including those with little prior exposure to global issues. These meetings will serve both an educational purpose and a recruitment function for the project group.
The next stage involves the establishment of a youth project group, which represents the central element of the initiative. This group, composed of 10–30 active participants, will take part in an integration meeting and organizational workshops. Opportunities will also be provided for meetings with experts and study visits. The final decisions regarding specific meetings and activities will be left to the group itself, while the project coordinator will provide support in key situations in order to strengthen participants’ sense of agency.
The expected social impact of the project is an increase in awareness and activity among young people in the areas of sustainable development and social responsibility. Participants will be encouraged to formulate their own opinions on global issues, thereby contributing to stronger civic engagement. The initiative is consistent with the objectives of the Connect for Global Change grant program, which seeks to engage EU citizens—particularly youth—in global education and to foster a sense of responsibility for the common good. Through its implementation, the project will contribute to the development of an informed and active civil society.
