Summary of Action

The project focused on global supply chains. The main objective was to deepen the knowledge and competences on global supply chains among teachers, educators, and students, mainly from the Wielkopolska region (more than 500 people in total), with a special focus on the perspective of countries of the Global South.

The project included 3 main activities:
– A training course for 15 teachers and educators from the Wielkopolska region on global supply chains, focusing on fast fashion, electronics, and food.
– The trained teachers prepared and carried out educational and informational actions within the framework of Global Education Week 2025.
– The creation of 5 educational materials and 3 information pills, showcasing concrete practices related to global supply chains from the perspective of experts from the Global South.

As a result of the project, we observed an increase in knowledge and awareness among the target groups about how food, electronics, and textile supply chains operate in their current form, as well as about good practices for shortening these chains and making them more fair and sustainable.

We increased engagement primarily among teachers and educators. Those who took part in the training were already aware of global challenges. Through their participation in the project, they deepened their knowledge, exchanged good practices, and created a sense of community. As a result, they strengthened their ability to pass on this knowledge. Thanks to the information and education campaigns they carried out during Global Education Week, they contributed to strengthening global awareness, primarily among schoolchildren. To a large extent, young people’s awareness was low, and during the evaluation they declared that they would change their consumption habits.
