Summary of Action
This project responds to the growing need among young people for reliable knowledge on migration, human rights, and resistance to disinformation. In the context of increasing polarization and the ongoing humanitarian crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border, young people face an overload of emotional narratives, limited access to trustworthy information, and a high level of uncertainty, making it difficult to understand global challenges.
The project includes a series of workshops delivered in secondary schools and universities in the Podlaskie and Mazowieckie regions, alongside online activities accessible nationwide. These workshops aim to strengthen participants’ understanding of migration processes, develop their ability to identify manipulation and disinformation, and build empathy toward people on the move.
The sessions are based on verified data, first-hand testimonies, and critical analysis of propaganda and disinformation mechanisms. The project adopts a transformative approach that enhances young people’s sense of agency and highlights their role in shaping public debate and civic engagement.
An intersectional perspective is central to the project, incorporating the experiences of women, transgender people, and LGBTQ+ individuals within migration contexts. Participants are encouraged to engage both locally and nationally in civic and community initiatives.
The project contributes to long-term change by increasing knowledge, strengthening critical thinking skills, and fostering social awareness. It aims to build a more empathetic, resilient, and informed society, where young people actively contribute to combating disinformation and supporting democratic values.
