Young People for Migration: Bridges of Mutual Understanding
General information
Project name: Młodzi dla Migracji: Mosty Wzajemnego Zrozumienia
Country: Poland
Timeline: From 1 February 2026 to 30 November 2026
Lead Organisation: Fundacja Another Perspective
Summary of Action
The project “Youth for Migration: Bridges of Mutual Understanding” aims to raise awareness among young people in Poland, especially students and academic communities, about the challenges faced by young migrants from the Middle East, particularly those continuing their education in Poland. It responds to a clear need for accessible and reliable knowledge on migration in a context where public narratives are often polarized or oversimplified.
The project consists of three main components:
- Educational reports: Two reports will be developed — one addressing access to education in crisis-affected Middle Eastern countries, and another exploring the situation of the Middle Eastern academic diaspora in Poland. These will be created in cooperation with experts, Lebanese partners, and Polish academic organisations.
- Cultural-educational event: The one-day forum “Bridges of Mutual Understanding” in Warsaw will include expert panels, interactive workshops, and dialogue spaces between students and young migrants, fostering empathy and intercultural understanding.
- Communication campaign: A university-focused and social media campaign running until November 2026 will use infographics, short videos, and student-led outreach to reach a wide audience and deepen long-term impact.
The project contributes to concrete social change by strengthening students’ understanding of global challenges, counteracting stereotypes, promoting intercultural dialogue, and building competencies of global citizenship.
