General information
Project name:Masz tę moc! Działaj lokalnie, zmieniaj globalnie.
Country: Poland
Timeline: From 1 February 2025 to 31 May 2025
Lead Organisation: Stowarzyszenie Amnesty International
Summary of Action
The goal of this project is to increase the knowledge and skills of young people and teachers about global challenges in the context of the protection of human rights and to take conscious and deliberate actions in this area.
The aim of the project will be achieved through the organisation of a 2-day training in Warsaw and the activities of the groups in their schools and local environment. The project will involve representatives of schools and Amnesty School Human Rights Groups from all over Poland. We will also recruit mentors among activists of Amnesty Local Groups.
During the training, the representatives of the school groups will gain the knowledge and tools they need to take responsible actions. By gaining knowledge on how to organise action for human rights, the school groups, in cooperation with mentors, will work on actions that they will carry out independently in their schools.
We will create an online resource with information on how and for what to create actions in schools and with inspiration from actions carried out in the project. Material will be available online on the Amnesty website and sent to the Amnesty school and teacher mentor bases.
