Summary of Action
The project “Activate Your Legal Rights” raises awareness about migration challenges, systemic discrimination, and social exclusion while fostering solidarity and active participation. Using Legislative Forum Theatre, the project empowers marginalized members of immigrant communities to share experiences of discrimination and collectively propose solutions through Theatre of the Oppressed performances. Activities include the creation of a metabolic cell of legal experts and community representatives, workshops, and performances aimed at influencing policymakers. The project follows a gender-transformative, rights-based, and intersectional approach, amplifying voices of immigrant women and vulnerable groups, and guiding participants through the “Inclusion Pyramid” from supporters to active change agents.
