Summary of Action
The Gospel for Peace project addresses critical global challenges, including inequalities, gender disparities, and the need for peace and justice in alignment with SDGs 5, 10, 16, and 17. Rooted in the historical significance of gospel music as a call for freedom and equality, the project leverages its cultural and emotional impact to raise awareness, foster critical thinking, and inspire action among youth and young adults. Activities include educational workshops, a Live Library with storytellers from the Global South, awareness-raising campaigns on social media and podcasts, concerts and exhibitions, and a central Gospel for Peace concert on International Peace Day (21 September). Expected results include raising awareness of peace, equality, and justice, fostering active participation, empowering marginalized voices, and creating a replicable model for future initiatives.
