Summary of Action
The project brings together young people from Slovenia and Uganda, representing diverse backgrounds and varying levels of knowledge and experience, to creatively share their perspectives on global challenges such as gender equality and social inequalities. The main goal is to create long-term outcomes that empower young people to actively participate in discussions on important challenges and become engaged, active global citizens.
The project will start with the creation of 300 interactive cards, distributed at key youth events to gather diverse opinions on selected themes. These cards will engage youth of varying knowledge levels and experiences, ensuring inclusivity and broad representation. Active participants (120) will work under the guidance of experienced mentors, including Andreja Vidmar, Maruša Vertačnik (FER), and Zavod Nefiks, who will provide professional support.
Participants will express their perspectives through creative outputs such as poems, blogs, interviews, and stories, transitioning from personal reflection toward active engagement. The central outcome will be a professionally designed booklet featuring 30 creative contributions from the youth. 200 printed copies will be distributed to youth centers, schools, and organizations, with a digital version also created for long-term access. This booklet will highlight the participants’ diverse voices, creativity, and experiences.
In March 2026, the project will culminate in an online discussion where participants will present their creative outputs and insights on gender inequality and other global challenges. Additionally, the project will include a comprehensive awareness campaign throughout social media to amplify youth voices, encourage meaningful dialogue, and inspire active engagement with global issues.
