Timeline: From 16 February 2026 to 13 November 2026

Summary of Action

Ready to Engage is a two-month youth programme designed to help young people transform their concern about climate change into meaningful action.

Climate change and biodiversity loss are not only environmental challenges, they are also deeply connected to issues of justice, inequality, and global responsibility. This programme supports participants in understanding these connections while developing their own ideas for positive change.

Through three interactive phases — Explore, Develop, and Act — participants will build knowledge, connections, skills, and confidence to turn ideas into practical initiatives. In the Explore phase, participants deepen their understanding of climate change and biodiversity loss as global justice challenges shaped by inequality and power imbalances. During Develop, they work on transforming early ideas into structured initiatives using entrepreneurial tools, workshops, peer exchange, and expert feedback. In the Act phase, participants connect with organisations and networks to share and further advance their ideas. They will engage with The Hague’s peace and justice community, meeting innovators and practitioners working on global challenges.

By the end of the programme, participants will have developed a justice-informed project proposal, gained practical tools for initiative development, and built a supportive network of peers and experts. Ready to Engage empowers young people to take their first steps as active global citizens and changemakers.
